Help with offsets and backspacing

OK, i've searched this board alot, and think i am going to buy some boyd coddington smoothie 2's for my camaro, look a little better then the tt II imop and they are relatively cheap. i found them here for a decent price, but i am wondering what my best bet for sizing is, i def. want 18's probably 18x9.5 in the front and maybe 18x10 in the back, bu t they have a good range of offsets and backspacing, all of which im not sure about .... anyone have any ideas. also, i like a good lip, i dont like the wheels that come right out to the edge if that matters...

smoothie 2

i also really like these, but they are more expensive

The off set for 9.5" wide wheels (doesn't matter whether they are 16", 17", 18" etc.) is in the range of 45mm to 56mm. That's a range of about 1/2". The TT-II's are 45mm and sit near the edge of the fender. The AFS ZR1 replicas are 56mm and will sit in a little more.

Do a "search" on my screen name.... I have posted links to pics of 9.5" wide wheels for 45, 49 and 56mm offsets.

The 10" wide wheels will probably be OK in the same offset, particularly if you are putting them in the rear, where there is more room.

I don't think I'd go for a 1/2" difference front to rear. That way you can't rotate things.
