Yes, this isn't a reversible mod.. you have to dremel or drill into the stock mounts after you remove the stock brackets...

I'm trying to work on a set of adapter brackets that would let this be reversible and easier to be adjusted. I'm having a hard time doing it though, everything is still in Mechanical Desktop (and we know how evil that software is) The downside that the housings will be farther foreward then if you just drilled in, but the upside that with a little time and effort you could revert back by reinstalling everything...

Yeah, I had to dremel out the mount for the top adjusting screw...there's no going back now

Thumbs down UPDATE ON PICS!!

I went to WalMart tonight...their technician was there today but they ordered the wrong parts. He's coming back again tomorrow morning so hopefully I'll at least have pics up tomorrow night.

Keep your fingers crossed.

AFAIK my install is completely and easily reversible...
I just had to drill a hole to hang the FF75's from and removed all the stock parts, that's about it...

I even just spliced into the 9006/9005 wiring harness and left the old ends on, that way I don't ever have to worry about connecting them back either.

But it was a very simple install IMO, and could be reversed just by putting the stock mounting stuff back on.

When I did this, I was unable to aim them correctly, that is why I had to dremel off more of the stock mounting brakets...

Do you have any closeups of your install ?

Sorry, I don't...
But I got them aimed fine and everything...I did use a little spacer that I made out of some plastic between the stock plastic bracket stuff, and the FF75 metal bracket. They looked like they sit up to high the other way, so this got them a little more centered in the opening.

Ok that's definately the difference... I wanted mine sitting as high as possible so that the beam andle wouldn't be cut short by the front clip... so I had to modify the stock mounts to make it fit..

My setup does basically just what BPS's does, but you can't really even see the pieces in between like you can those pieces of rubber mat (unless you look for them...)

I wanted them to be centered more than what they were is why I did that though. I have a nice beam pattern still without it hitting the front clip too bad, but I understand your reasoning 100%.

Looks like tonite is all go on the Luks 100w clear bulb install. I will try to get some pics then for you Paul...I since I will be taking them back off I can get some nice install type pics for a guide. Wish I just had some of removing the old stuff so it would be complete. Got some of the 55w pics already taken, if anyone is interested (nite shots...) e-mail me.

BTW, Brian, update your site! "*COMING SOON*
Hella FF75s with 100w Cuzo HyperWhites"

Looks Great man.
Not to criticize, but they seem a little high to me. If memory serves me correctly, Dalton, didnt you lower yours? if so, How?

Brian, was the aiming a pita or not too bad?
looks very good, thanks for taking the time to write the install guide.
Later,
J
