I know how to run the relay wiring (pin 87 etc etc) but where did you run the wiring? Dalton said he connected it to the battery, so I'm curious as to what gauge wire you used to connect it to the battery and where you ran the wires.
Also, did you only need one relay for each pair of lights???
Thanks,
Jay

Why are you running 100w for the low beams? Are the 55w not bright enough?

I'm pretty sure it was 16 guage wire that I used...whatever was supplied with the kit is pretty much all I needed and yeah, you only need one relay for each pair of lights (supplied in the kit). Right now it's just temporary, but I just ran the wires across the front of the car just above the windshield washer reservoir...kinda messy right now. That was about the best place I could find to run the wires across the front of the car.

I took out the 55w bulbs before I even installed everything. I just wanted more light, but according to Dalton the 55w bulbs make quite a difference as well.

Well I started typing a reply earlier this morning, but got busy working and didn't get to finish before my comp locked up...but anyhow -

I ran the wire over to the battery the same way as silver did, above the windshield washer reservoir. Mine is messy right now as well, I still have to install my high beam relay. When I get it done, I will have 3 relays, and instead of running three wires over to the battery, I am just gonna run two wires (probably be 16 gauge or so, which should be plenty big enough). It doesn't have to be a massively thick wire though because it is just drawing what power is needed, not full power. At least 55w of your power is coming from the stock wiring setup, even more realistically. So 16 gauge or so is fine for the Low's (+ Fog's for me), and the same for the High's. The rest of my wiring right now is just floating around behind the core support behind the headlights (that's where my relays are mounted, at least for now). I did it all as quick as possible, as well as just trying to figure out what was what, so...

The 55w are better than stock IMO, just gotta aim them correctly. I am going to go to a 100w bulb as well, just so I get maximum output. Even with a 100w bulb the '93-'97 Camaro just then gets comprable to most other cars lighting.

I have had the FF75 conversion for almost a year. I have tried NUMEROUS bulb combo's from 55w up to 190w.

These are Hella DRIVING LIGHTS.

55w is absolutely NOT sufficient taking the beam pattern/cutoff into consideration. Also... aiming them is critical for your own safety and to avoid blinding other drivers..

80w clear or 100w tinted WITH a aftermarket harness and 12 gauge wiring is the minimum I would recommend.

The FF75 is sold as a kit from Advance?

Or somewhere else?

Yeah, I got mine from Advance. The kit comes with 2 housings, 2 55w H7 bulbs, wiring for each light, and 1 relay.

WalMart's parts came in today, but the damn Fuji Film tech decided not to show up. He rescheduled for tomorrow.

Congrats on the light install Brian. Can't wait to see the pics. Does the car feel any tighter with the SFCs? I hope you had a garage to work in the other day. It was a little on the cold side.

Later,
Chris

So Brian - are they gonna be able to put them on CD after you get them back? with the help of the Fuji-MAN!

If not, I could scan them in for you (which would require you send them to me, I send them back to you...) But since it is gonna be for the benefit on the install guide that you and I are hoping to build, I could probably arrange that. And put them on CD for you too...just a thought.

SOMEDAY I will get the Luks bulbs installed, I have been just a little busy here lately ...

No, I'm still waiting on WalMart to get their damn machine fixed. As soon as I get the pics back from them I'll at least get some pics up of the final product so at least you guys will see what they look like.

Yeah, once I get them back they'll be on CD. And I agree with ya on the second part...I've got a paper due tonight, a group presentation tomorrow, I'm taking the state life & health insurance licensing exam Friday, and this weekend I have drill (I'm in the Air National Guard).

I'll get the pics up as soon as I can

Yeah, the SFCs make the car feel like a completely different animal!! Overall the entire car just feels tighter, less rattles inside, and it feels like it grips better on takeoff.

I love 'em!!
