There are two things you won't get by going down that road...and I am not "selling" you either way...

1) legality...

2) Overall performance. The hid burner is not properly positioned for the best focus in a halogen 90mm unit (and again the halogen has a different lens)....therefore it doesn't produce the kind of lamp-lumen and blanket of light as the HID projector. In addition the cutoff is not as sharp. Can it be modifed to work "better"? Sure but back to number 1.
