Re: Finally pictures of the hoodbird

Wow, I didn’t think the spoiler would be looked at so favorably. I mean I knew I would like it, but there were some negative people when I let out the original unfinished pictures. Thanks for the positive reinforcement, it seems the consensus is that it was a good decision to pursue that.

NOONE is commenting on the hoodbird/stripe. I know I love it so noone is going to hurt my feelings, I’m curious if others like. Not many people seem to like the 4th gen’s with hoodbirds.

There are also 2 (you could argue 3) custom touches to the bodywork noone noticed (or at least commented on). I’m not talking about the hatch since that whole thing is custom.

Spoiler looks good except for this close-up photo:

you got me looking again and noticed you shaved your antenna and door locks. i'm guessing those are the two things. the other i'm guessing its the removed molding off the sides of the car or the shaved bird off the nose.

i like the hoodbird b/c you can't really notice it. its not a bright decal or paint job that contrasts w/ the black. i don't like hoodbirds, but in your case its not bad since it doesn't jump out at you. i'm not a fan of flames so i don't like the flames on the rear.

I dunno, I didn't comment on the hoodbird because it is just barely there. If it were my car, I'd have a big yellow one on there since you already have the Smokey and the Bandit spoiler

You got it, shaved antenna and door lock cylinders. I didn't want to have the handles done because many ppl have problems trying to reenforce the door skins.

My car never had the hoodbird on the nose, i'm not sure exactly which years came with that, i'm glad i don't have that though. I wouldn't even count the side moldings as custom...

Gotta love the ghost graphics.

I have to admit that when I saw it laid out the first time I almost regretted it not being something loud and bold.

It is absolutely priceless though when someone looks the whole car over and is taken back by the shine and the spoiler ect, walks around the entire car admiring it, and THEN notices the hoodbird and all the graphics. They get this strange look and instantly a new level of admiration to the amount of work that went into the car. The look on their face is the reason I love ghost graphics. If noone sees it driving by, great, the car already attracts enough attention. If only 5% of people notice and appreciate it, then all the better.

I really like how subtle the bird is. If it were "in color" it would be loud and obnoxious but as it is, it looks great IMO
