F-bodies with light bars...
Re: F-bodies with light bars...
Okay, I am a police officer and while off duty but on call my car is my response unit, I run dual 16 diode LEED led dash lights, one up front above my mirror, one in the back just below the dome light, 90 watt galls strobe kit in my rear marker lights, and front headlights, I don't have much as for side warning right now, but as far as dash lights go, you can't go wrong with Led's, we have tested mine and it can be seen well over a mile away. I also went with a galls siren/speaker for the Z. Bought it a while back, but they actually make a siren speaker for the camaro shaped to fit in our engine bays, and still project the sound forward, I am sure it can be found on their site. All in all I have about 700 into emergency equipment in the car, stuff adds up quickly!
Re: F-bodies with light bars...
Did you buy the speaker for f-bodies? I was going to buy just a regular speaker and put it where my spare tire goes ($30 for a regular speaker, or $300 for the thin one that i could put by my air dam). Koldnrg, you don't have any pics of ur car, do u?
Re: F-bodies with light bars...
haha, it depends on how close to the station I am. If I'm close than yeah, I drive to the station and take a truck, but if I'm fartherer away, I respond direct to the scene.
Re: F-bodies with light bars...
its illegal to run blue and reds as a firefighter...just can run reds in montana anyways...i was gonna do that with my firebird more for entertainment value but ...i grew up a bit.
Re: F-bodies with light bars...
Sorry no pics of the siren, it is tucked in there good, but yes I have the special speaker for fbodies, I do have some shots of the led's on I think I will look and check tomorrow
