Ff75

I did the FF75 headlight and fog conversion and let me say I am very very pleased. The lights look right at home and the stockers can be put back easilly if I had to. My only gripe is the bulbs that I chose for the driving lights are way to bright (hella 50% brighter bulbs 65w). My friends told me they hate when I drive behind them but they love the look. With the fog lights I really wouldnt have to use my headlights if I didnt want to. Even down a dark road I can see well and far. I also did clear coners all the way around so it all looks good together. I HIGHLY reccomend the swap. Youll be surprised at how well they turn out.

glad they worked out for you, i can't believe you think 65w are to bright, i'm running 100w, maybe you have yours aimed incorrectly.

Re: Ff75

That may be it. After the install I never checked. Are you running 100w with the stock wiring harness or the harness provided??

100w with the Hella harnesses. You need aftermarket harness for anything over i think 85 watts if i remember right. You really need to adjust the headlights with these hellas because they are so intense and such a tight light pattern that if they're off a little its like having a spot light in on coming drivers eyes. I just had my buddy put his Z right up next to mine and i aimed mine a hair lower than his and they do great. If i really need the extra light i have my high beams aimed really high and i just turn those on and i can see everything.

I believe the lights come with some sort of aiming instructions, but thats using them as driving lights not headlights. If i was you i'd park another car of similar height to your fbody next to your camaro and shine the lights on a wall and adjust them until they're both hitting the wall at the same height.

Re: Ff75

Another question; how do you stop the lights from vibrating?

I don't know what kind of pics you're wanting if you're wanting install guide pics, or the finished setup. Here is a pic of my finished Hella FF75 driving light and foglight setup. http://www.mustangmods.com/data/1787/hella_fronts.jpg
As for honda hunters question about vibration, i haven't noticed any issues with that, but i am building some special brackets to put on it instead of just using washers. I've taken aluminum strap metal and cut it up into 5inch strips and i drilled holes in the center. I'm gonna use these as really big washers to help spread the load out and help stabilize the setup. Most people are just using flat washers to space the lights down and they don't have a very wide base to help spread the load out and stabilize the light. I haven't gotten them all done but when i get some more aluminum strap i'll finish up the setup.

Yeah that pic is sorta what I meant, also maybe a night pic showing how much light they actually throw off.

I'd love to get a night pic as i've had others ask me for them as well but my digital camera takes horribly blurry pictures when the flash is off. I figured to get a good night picture i'd need the flash off, maybe i'll sit down and read the manual this week and see if i can get a decent picture for you guys.
