Wink Dyed/Painted your 4th Gen Dash? Com'on in!

Looking to dye my interior while I wait for my engine goodies to come. I have a color scheme in mind, but I would like to see what has been done before so I can get a better idea of what I want to dye/paint/leave alone.

also which is better? dye or paint? I have always thought that paint looked tacky..... (no offense to anybody, you could always change my mind!!)

Post links or pics please!

Thanks.

I just re-dyed my whole interior in my 86 Z-28 from factory tan to light gray with royal blue carpet. It was'nt hard but make sure whatever you plan to paint clean it very well (soap-n-water, de-greaser etc...) if not, your dye wont penetrate and bond to the part. I used Plasti-coat #410 gray (bout 10 cans) and dyed every plastic part and every "new" vinyl part in the interior. Sorry no pics yet but I'm in the mist of updating both of my pages so check the 86 Z-28 page soon. I dont know if I'm gonna do the 2000 camaro interior myself. But I "might" try it.

I did my dash and am happy with it. It has been more durable than I expected, and I kept the textured look.

Pics in sig (page 2 mostly)
