I have a problem with my the interior trim that fits around the door handles on my 94 TA. The screw that holds the trim in place does not tighten up. I took it off and looked at the hole and the screw just slides thru. Is there a little part that fits in the hole or did I just strip the treads?
I called a gm parts guy and he couldn't tell me anything. please help.

You stripped the threads. The material that screw goes into is rather weak and it wouldnt take much to strip it. Ask me how I know

 

I had the same problem on mine, I just put a bigger screw in.
