damn...that came out very nice...ill probably get up on it next weekend..It seems to be a great alternative to the damn 200+ dealer part...why did they have to stop making a part that is going to fall apart for every fbody owner?

I got the vinyl from my step-dad, he owns a car upholstery shop-the one that I'll be working at in a couple weeks-I'm not sure exactly what kind of vinyl it is, but it's got cloth backing and I think I used about two yards to do it. I bought ten yards because I had other parts of the dash as well as my T/A door panels to cover. Check out the 93 camaro in my sig and you'll find all the pictures of my car.

Re: Dash Pad options...

Are you guys putting stuff on your dash that is causing it to crack? I haven't encountered this problem at all. I have more trouble with my fuse cover falling off when I open the driver door than my dash cracking. You guys setting a brick on it or something?

Re: Dash Pad options...

give it some time...itll happen to you to. camaros are well known for this problem. there is no stopping it. it generally has to do with the fact that chevy decided to put a huge front window directly on top of a crappy made dash top, and the greenhouse effect does its number on it...

Re: Dash Pad options...

and since you might be in the upholstery business soon...what do you recommend i use instead of the stock dash? I threw it away because it broke into a million pieces...I was thinking of using some type of cardboard material..unless you tell me otherwise...

come to think of it, im not even sure where I would be able to get one piece of cardboard big enough to fit the dash...any ideas?

Brent do you have pix of it in the car? I want to see how it lays out. The texas sun has terminated my dash pad and I just want to cover it with a mat such as the one you have shown. I would like to see how it looks in the car.
