darkening dash
my car has the charcoal color dash and it is really lightened or just light to begin with. i was considering painting it darker but thats too much work and too much of a possibility of it turning out like crap or just not looking good...
so what kind of rejuvinators(sp?) do they make for dashes, which ones have you guys found to work best??? regular armor all isnt cutting it...
and i was thinking, what would happen if i apply some dark shoe polish to the dash peices???
thanks.

Re: darkening dash
The majority of your dash (front part) is metal and can be easily painted. The only problem is getting everything inside taped up. The rest can be removed to dye(paint) and/or replaced.

Re: darkening dash
A 95 Z28 dash is metal? Are you thinking of the right car there, Z28SORR? I've taken my entire interior apart and and 99% of it is plastic. In turn it's pretty easy to paint if you want to go that route.

Don't know what I was thinking.

Re: darkening dash
there is a paint type substance called SEM dye, its not paint, really actually it dyes the actual part, so that the part then becomes the color you wish, there is a large variety of colors, just try searching google for SEM dye, its usually about $8 a can
