First thing you wanna do is decide if you want a traditional color, or something bright that stands out. If you go with a more traditional color ex: blue, red, orange, dark green, or another common color you'll have to think alot harder about the little things that would make your car stand out from the rest of the cars that are the same color. If you want something more unique like a bright yellow, lime green, candy color, or custom metallic or pearl, the color itself already stands out but more times than not those type cars are looked at as theme cars. On the other hand you don't have to do as much to separate your car from the next because the color of the car is custom and unique to your taste. This is all assuming you're looking to do something different to your car that's unique I'm thinkin if you didn't care about that you would just leave it as is.
