Car is finally in the paint shop
For the past 2 years I've been planning on getting the Z repainted. It took a while to find a shop I was comfortable with. I'm actually having it done as a side job by a painter at a local Chevrolet dealership. It'll be painted in the dealerships downdraft booth.
The car will be repainted the factory color, which is purple pearl, but I'm having 30Th anniversarry style stripes painted on the hood and deck, in '97-'98 Camaro bright purple. We're using a stencil kit from Stencils & Stripes Unlimited.
Everything else on the car is ready for the start of the season. The new rear with the 3.73's/Auburn posi is in, as well as a new pass. side air bag, and a new aluminum driveshaft.
I'm coming out on all motor for the first few months, then I'll have it caged and start playing with the 150 shot of NX. If all goes well, it'll be somewhere in the 10.7-10.8 range.

I also wanted to see.
I am also planning to take tha car for yet another fresh coat of paint. last year, around this month, I took it down to Mexico and had it paint by a freakin a-hole, the job quality would rank a 7, let alone its peeling off the front bumper, I had it paint the factory color, which is purple. now I'm taking it to another guy, whos gonna do it on the side, and happens to be the painter at the local (Mexican) Ford dealer where my brother works at, but this time, the color is gonna be Chevy Sunburst Orange. Yeah!!. did I mention I wanted to see?
