hey new memeber here and i was wondering if any one has a 93-97 Black Camaro with red neons on the outside and maybe inside post pics please if you got them i wanna see them

ouch that sucks are you guys not a big fan on neons i just thought it would look good black and red give it a real dark scary look it sucks that theres negative coments i hope some one else thinks would be a cool idea.

 

neons are associated with rice for obvious reasons, but I think neons are kinda cool if not overdone, because originally neons were a hot-rod thing, but then the ricers moved in on that idea

(even though the flash of the digital camera kinda ruined it ...)

 

i just think that black and red click ya know and i am only gonna due the outside underbody and then on the inside one under the drivers feet and then one under the passanger feet and then one behid the far back seat so it light red all over my subs and my windows are 5% so it will look real cool on the inside id like all the dash lights to be read like on the newer transam and firebird my buddy has a 98 bird and it looks so crazy at night.

 

your right red does click with black, you can find evidence of that on my car

On the other hand dont over do it . . . cause thats what ricers do and therefore seems to give the typical person who has neon a bad name. Putting neon every place you can possibly think of = overdone

 

I saw a black LS1 WS6 with red neons under the car a couple years ago, and it looked sweet! Not that I'm into "rice" or anything, but what Joelius said is true......they were originally a "hot rod" thing (probably sparked from the neon light craze of the 50's & 60's?? ).

.........anyhow, while they're not the #1 item on my list of "needs/wants", but I would consider putting red underlighting on my black car as well. If done tastefully, it's a helluva sweet combo IMO.

 

I like neons and I'm not worried about being called a rice lover. I drive a 02 firehawk, it has bright decals to begin with. I bought purple neons in 02 but still haven't installed my neons but they are coming. I'm doing a custom car-stereo with JL Audio and Alpine, putting amps and sub in back accented by neons. If anyone doesn't like it, too bad it's my car. Don't worry about what others think.

 

hey thanks to those who herd me out i think red on black will look good and ill do a good job on it all to so you wont see the wiring or any of the bulbs themselves when i get pics ill post
