I was looking at these here not too long ago, what do you think:

However, I was concerned about the fitting. I'm not sure which sizes we would need for LT1s.

Steve had all of the braided lines custom made locally.

I don't know about a web site or not. I think Steve paid a nice sum of money for all of the lines. I emailed him a link to this thread so he should respond and be able to answer any questions.

Hello, thanks for the compliment on the car

All the hoses were custom made.. basicly I took off all the AC, PS, fuel and a couple other ones

They cut off the factory ends then welded on AN fittings. The hoses are teflon lined with a braided sleeve.. the AC lines are also coated with carbon to keep the freon from leaching out. Power Steering lines use the factory ends so it looks factory (except its braided)..

Costs.. spooky expensive.. lol.. well compared to rubber hoses. AC lines (ALL the AC lines.. top and bottom) ran about $300.. then about $200 for the PS lines.. Maybe another couple hundred for the other hoses and ends.. it try not to pay too much attention as it might scare me if I add 1 and 1

The place That did it is in Long Beach CA and they specialize in race and aviation performance hardware.. Deering Industries.. 562-595-1669.. ask for Mitch. He does work through the mail but you need to send him your OEM stuff so he can duplicate it..

More pics in sig..

Well, now I am confused... jegs and summit both have TONS of stainless steel hoses.

You would think that we could get real stainless steel hoses by now without having them custom made.

So, are our LT1 and LS1 fittings that proprietary that NONE of the ones in Summit or Jegs will work ? ?

WTF ?

Its not the hoses.. its the ends.. look at your AC lines (and PS lines) they are crimped on. Think how you would attach new hoses?? see what I mean

Also the metal ends on the PS lines are special.. they are shaped that way for a reason, sure you could use some off the shelf hose but would it function right without the traps and restrictors built in by the factory?

The stuff at JEGS is mostly for older cars where the hose requirements are simpler.. Hell, some of our hoses change size during the length of the hose (TB hose, lower radiator).. Trust me on this.. custom is the only way to get it done..

I never thought I'd be able to apply the meaning "Clean enough to eat off of" to an engine bay. Guess Steve just proved me wrong!

Hell, thats so clean I wouldn't even want to dirty it up with food lol.
