guys, I have a set of headlight housings laying in the garage, just no car anymore. If somebody wants them to try to tackle this, let me know.

 

Just got some free time on my hands that my job use to take up so ill take them off your hands to try this mod. Ill take pics and post as i go for everyone also

 

I'll send him a message on facebook and see if he still has them. He hasn't had a fbody for a couple years, though I do believe he comes on here from time to time.

 

yup, I'm still on here quite often, sufu05 sorry I do not have them anymore as I sold them with the car.

 

so are the lights cut or not!!? i am tempted to try this as well

 

I was wondering if anyone actually finished this? Or is still in the process of doing it? I am interested in doing this, but my funds are limited... so I only have 1 shot at it. Any tips?

go on LS1tech.com and do a search... That's like the big brother to all Lsx forms

 

You're almost definitely going to have to cut the lights based on the pics, but I don't know how you'd reseal them. High temperature silicone and what? Lights get hot. Don't know if ABS plastic would work. Maybe some aluminum sheet metal...

 

I've seen the pic of that car about 50 times and never realized those were ls1 headlights until now and after careful consideration........IM DOIN THIS I'll put it on my "custom stuff to do list" along with fuel rail covers, radiator cover, and the "TOP SECRET" cover.

My buddy has a spare set of ls1 headlights Im goin to pick em up today but I wont start on install til next week I got some other mods I wanna knockout first. Ill post pics when I start the project.

 

yes, you have to cut them. My headlights went with the car when I sold it. Its a PITA to measure/cut etc. To reseal, I would recommend some high temp clear RTV

 

Do they have to be cut on the fender side
