If you do cut the headlight housing, do not use a Dremel unless you have one with adjustable speed, and if you do, set it as slow as possible. Even that might be too fast. The high speed of the dremel will cause a ton of friction and heat, and it'll melt the plastic as it cuts, and it'll make a hell of a mess of both your work area, and the line you're trying to cut. A band saw would probably be the best way to go as long as you have one with enough clearance for the headlight housing.

I will try to get some this weekend...they weren't completely mounted until recently...they aren't completely done, I don't believe. There is a lot of custom work to mount these. Also involves cutting the light housings.

Can you show how they are mounted now? Pop the hood and show how they are attached?

I somehow doubt he cut the lights. It doesn't make sense why you would cut the lights. Filling the hole you make would be nearly impossible...? What are you going to use? Clear tape?

clear RTV, liquid nail, clear tile/tub sealant. i can name a ton of things that could be used....theres no way to use the lights without cutting them. ive measured, measured, and remeasured. you could cut out the outter side of the headlight bucket and do it that way though....

I'd like to do this to my car someday, but to be honest, I'd rather not until someone makes or publishes a step by step with picture, proven method to do this. I've done enough custom crap lately that I am tired of it at the moment and would rather not have the headache of potentially ruining something. Until good pictured instructions that actually work come out, I'm not even going to consider it right now, as bad *** as it looks (would look even better with black headlight buckets).
