98+ frontend changeover
Posted this topic in the tech section last night and got some good ideas. I put a 2001 front end on my 95 Camaro. I'm adapting the LS1 airbox to work with the LT1 throttle body. I plan on using a whisper lid or something similar, then connecting the MAF to the lid. So now I need a boot of some kind that will fit from the MAF (round) to the throttle body (oval) and I'm guessing it will only need to be a few inches long. In the tech secttion it was suggested to try a stock LS1 bellow. Anyone think it will stretch to fit the oval? I also have all the part numbers and some pics of the changeover. If anyone can use these, it would be great to see a page put together on how to do this. I just don't have the experience to put one together. Anyone?

I am using the LS1 airbox with my converted front end . The bellow you want to use is from the 96-97 WS-6 firebirds . It is a direct perfect fit , giving you the round side for the maf and the oval side for the TB , lenght wise it is also perfect . The IAT sensor will be in the LS1 airbox and the 96-97 ram air bellow has a provisions for the opti vent already . I am using an MTI lid .
I dont know what mine cost because the whole front of my car was an insurance deal . The best advise I can give is call your local pontiac dealer to get the part # for the bellow , then go to Gmpartsdirect.com and pay less than wholesale for it
