Exclamation need help wiring in an EL Scanner (knight rider light)

I just bought an EL Scanner. It looks tight! I'm going to install it tomorow and I need to figure out how to wire it in.

There's 3 wires. One constant 12V+, a ground and the triger wire. The triger wire needs a ground source.

Do I just wire in the triger wire to the alarm LED? I don't think that will work because the LED flashes just a pulse every second or 2, and the triger wire needs to stay constantly on for it to do it's thing.

Any input would be appreciated. BTW, it cost me $36
