I would never use a oem 400 crank in a 350 block, it's just too weak. The scat?? couldn't tell ya, I think you would be close to it's limit with a 200 shot at 6700.

You need a Callies Crankshaft:

We have used Scat cranks in some pretty brutal applications without problems.
I don't think anyone here will argue that the turned down 400 crank is stronger.
Another plus of using a Scat, Cat or Cola crank is that you can order them for internal balance.

I wouldnt say that the 400 crank is weak...Afterall it is nodular iron..But think about it..Most are already beat from years of useage and by the time the thing is turned and balanced youll spend more..

Nothing wrong with a scat peice but since your thinking cast you probally bugeted low..Save up for teh ceaper forged cranks avail..If you shop around well you can source one up for about $450..
