I am upgrading to some 4130 steel main caps for 2,3 and 4 mains with my new 355 LT1, and was wondering what was available for #1 and #5. I haven't been able to locate a source for these. Can someone point me to the right place.

 

Callies and Oliver (among others) have steel end caps. I have used both with good results.

I know Pro-Gram makes a front cap.... not sure about the rear.

 

I found some rears from milodon, callies and oliver, but they all appear to be for 2 peice rear main seals. Can these be used with modification, or is there 1 peice units available?

 

They are made for 1-piece seals as well, at least Oliver and Callies. Not sure about Milodon.

Oliver, Callies and Pro Gram make rear 1 piece seal caps. They are pricy and probably not worth the money since that's the beefiest cap on the motor.

Pro Gram makes the caps for a few of the other people like say Diamond. That's what my TT LT1 has and love them. If you really want to make it bullet proof Pro-Gram caps pinned to the block on 2-5. Cap number on is really not pinable.
