I usually just make a o-ringed plug on the lathe and throw it in there.

Yeah RPM and I are on the same page but it seems that the intake was cut.

By lookin at the pic SScya posted looks like you may be able to cut out a little less would have a hard time R&R then Manifold while engine is in.

Actually when Bret did the intake for me he plugged the distributor hole. I took the plug out and am running a distributor because I just got tired of screwing around with the Opti. Plus I'm eventually going to throw a crank trigger on it.
