T-56 swap to Turbo 350 Transmission

I need some help with a few questions
I'm right now building a turbo 350 trany to put in my 95 z-28
I'm using fairbanks fiber clutches and stripe shift kit and I have all the harden parts that have been recommended to me by the transmission shop to handle everything I can put to it.

1. Have anyone tried putting a turbo 350 in the newer camaros? if so what was the results? I'm looking for better ET at the strip.

2. The turbo 350 I have is a Long tail. I was told its the same length as the T-56. is this so ?

Before anyone asked the reason I'm not using a 700R4 is that they are not able to handle a lot of abuse without dumping a couple thousand dollars in them. I also know that gas mileage is going down the tubes. If I was worried about gas mileage I would not be building it.

Any feeback would be great
Thanks
Tim

Unless you have a relatively light, relatively low power setup you should not use the TH350 but get a TH400. Heavier, will absorb a few more hp, but much stronger. In the same vein, unless you have a high-po setup, you may be slower (though more consistent) with an automatic than a manual. Of course, you may know all this. But in case you don't, I wanted to help you avoid a mistake.

You are the first individual I've come across wanting to swap manual for an auto.
