Unhappy Static compression

Hello there guys, I have Lloyd's LE2 Heads and camshaft for a 383 that I am
building, and I wanted to know the variables of head gaskets that have been used with this setup. I have a concern about to much compression as my
first engine blew out after about eighty miles. I wondering what head gasket
I can use with a _5cc piston, in a zero decked block; 57 cc combustion chamber. Also What did you gap the pistons rings at. I did have some machine
shop issues with the first build, as they claimed that detonation destroyed
every bearing in the block. There was detonation because two brand new
pistons had broken ring lands. so I'm starting over and I wanted to know
which gasket would be best for my build.

Re: Static compression

What CR was the cam designed for? That's the CR you want.
