specific cam question

Consider I'm looking at a specific range of Intake Closing angles to achieve a DCR around 8.5+-0.2. I would also like as much overlap as possible, around 71 @.006/15 @.050.

Would it be a bad idea if these numbers are achieved using a LSA that is retarded 4 degrees or less from the ICL? (i.e. 282/288 on a 106 LSA and 110 ICL)

Please give an explanation. The setup is:
Forged 355 LT1
11.6:1 SCR
Head flow slightly better than LT4 stock with better exhaust %.
M6/4.11 gear

Basically, I'm looking for something with similar timing events to the cc306 with a lot more lift.

Thanks.

Why?

IOW, what is it you are trying to achieve? I mean your performance goals for the car, not what valve events you want or think you need.

Well, situation has changed again, so this is really a moot point now, haha.

I am trying to have a fast street car. Not a DD, but a strong weekend warrior. I need to stay within the limits of the stock pcm, but I want to push it to around 6700 RPM.

If it's a street car it's a bad idea, hell doesn't matter what kind of car it is, it's a bad idea.

Would installing it retarded 4 degrees make any difference in the DCR or is that something that is strictly ground into the cam?
