scb in a 4th gen...help...
I have decided that i am putting a gen I sbc motor in my car. I have the motor already its a 12.5:1 355 with fully ported brodix 11x heads, a strip dominator intake and a holly 750 carb.
My question is who has done it? WHat problems did you run into and how did you fix them? Did you use the BMR k member or did you use mounts? Is there a site out there that has pics and info on completeing this swap?

I did the conversion only with a BBC.
I used the stock k-member but you may want to buy the BMR or other brand k member. Would have been easier. I think they make ones with the proper mount locations for the motor and also the steering rack. I would try to keep the power steering. I removed mine and the car is at times annoying to drive around.
There is so much you will have to do you may want to search other threads about this topic. The fuel system is a PITA, for instance. There are a lot of little things that are going to come up. Instrumentation, (only your fuel gauge will work), fuel, locating the motor, hood clearance with carb and air cleaner, transmission, and on and on.

yeah i know, i have a turbo350 reverse manual valvebody, and i have a 6" cowl hood. I know what i am getting into i just want know the probblems and solutions in advance and what are the best parts to use. I would like to find a page on it and get part numbers for the mounts that people use to run the stock k-member.
i know its going to be a project but i am up for anything!!!

You'd probably get more responses if you just posted it in the LT1/LT4 Engine Tech section. This isn't really an "advanced tech" topic. May also be confusing people because you keep posting "SCB" in the topics instead of "SBC".
