Quick question about main bolts

Quick question about main bolts on a 4 bolt main small block chevy. This is a late model block from an L31 crate engine (350HO).

It has 4 bolt mains, with bolts with a provision for a windage tray. Do you guys think it is necessary to buy aftermarket main studs for my buildup? Setup is:

Probe forged pistons, scat forged cap screw I beams and a cast eagle ESP 3.75 stroke crankshaft.

I am looking to save some money and I was hoping to reuse the stock hardware.

Thanks guys! Sorry for asking so many questions lately, but we are getting sooo close .

I think you can use what you have, no problem.

A set of ARP main bolts is some pretty cheap insurance if you aren't going to use a windage tray. $25.88

summit part # arp 134-5202

I am going to use a windage tray though, and summit price for the arp studs for a windage tray is $75.00

This motor has under 3000 miles on it when I tore it apart, and it wasnt hurt when I pulled it apart .

Re: Quick question about main bolts

Ive done some fairly idiotic things with stock SBC parts and had them live;also back in the days that was all racers had and they held together.Anyway ive had em at a 7200 rpm redline, no problem-- With that said I run full ARPs or equivalent in my car and recommend it to anyone i help put a motor together.I understand money being tight, trust me, and at a low to mid power level[i dont know yours] it shouldnt be a problem, but i'd personally rather go mac and cheese for a while than have my caps screwing around.
ZZ series had those bolts, and theyre modded to the far side of 4xx hp all the time.
