Pistons: Do they need to be matched perfectly gram for gram?
I have a new set of SRP Pistons that are being coated right now and the weight of each pistons is different as much as 1.2 grams. Should I balance them 100% perfectly? IS there any benefit? Is it a normal procedure that evereyone should be doing? any info would be nice! Thanks fellas

Well, I guess you can go ahead and call me ****, then. I matched each of my pistons to within 100 milligrams, and then did the same with each rod: big end to big end.
The engine shop in texas (Dallas Export Sales) then weight matched the whole reciprocating assembly to half a gram.
BTW, Denny I finished the ceramic coating on the piston tops. Now I have to do the skirts in DFL. The tops look pretty nice. Did you receive the link to the pictures?
