Edelbrock just came out with a merge collector. Its in the newest catalog under part #6582. Haven't seen prices but considering Ede's manufacturing capabilities, they may be a deal (mild steel, painted, 1.75-3.0).
Stainless Works also has a merge collector out that's supposedly ~$200. A bit cheaper than Dynatech and Burns.
Also check with SPD Exhaust and Performance Welding Headers.
Good luck.

Not much on SPD's site but they have a .pdf catalog
http://www.spdexhaust.com/collectors.html
and this one from a Google search (inexpensive and looks it)
