and about the crank, I set it on end on the garage floor and tapped it with a hammer and it chimed just like a bell, didnt make a thud, it made a ringing sound.....but I wish I knew exactly what kind it is.....so with what you saying it should be forged?

Didn't notice the gun drilling, good call! That, and the ringing says it's forged.

It looks like it could be a Eagle 4340 Lightweight Steel Crankshaft

Hmm? wow! so that makes its good crank huh? Eagle 4340 forged steel light wieght crank and its for 6" rods and thats what I got....yeah and I bet I ****ed it all up with my spun bearings...atleast on the #7,#8 rods..I gotta take it to a shop tomorrow and hopeful there will still be enough room for error to make the 7,8 fit again.

I bought this motor form an unknown person off ebay and I wonder why its forged crank and rods but not pistons. I got the KB 122's and spoke with KB today and they told me the pistons are fine even with a healthy shot of the gas.
