That is a FINE set.But instead of hurting your valve train with revs,it will HURT your pocket book.

I guess it's FI for me. I'm tired of trying to figure out/guess at how much power I will have, how much money it'll take, and IF I will even get the power I want when it's all said and done. If I go with a procharger or turbo I KNOW that goal will be met/beaten.

David, it's back to the drawing board.

I'm just kidding....

But I am thinking about something larger like a 434 or maybe even a 472 SBC....

The more I look at it the more the BBC is the way to go....

Mr. D, it looks like you're right. 572 inches with a 10" tire should go in the 10s in a 1st Gen with ease huh? 9s even....

Well that particular engine if memory serves, is not pump gas freindly. But yes it would go in the mid 10's depending on car setup/weight. 9's on a small shot of happy gas.

TPR has a 4th gen, EFI 572" BB, with 2 VERY LARGE stages of nitrous coming to a theater near you in the next couple months.... Stay tuned this is going to be down right sick, but fun...

Maybe David will remember this, but we had my Pump Gas 540 in Brady's green car for the thunder shootout this year and it ran Bottom 10's on motor. With 3.55 gears and a very tight turbo converter that murdered the bottom end. The car weighed in at 3480, so surely a 572 with a decent gear and converter would pull you into the 9's.
