How to cut intake in half :)
Well, most eaton setups have something rigged that makes a sharp bend and routes the intake to the front.
On my brother’s car I made a nice 3.5” pipe that connects to the firewall where the heater blower motor used to suck air in through the cowl vent, the inside was modified to hold a big K&N and now the old heater inlet acts like a big cold air inlet for the engine.
Personally, I like lingenflelter’s vette solution best, turn the whole thing around and setup a pulley and driveshaft to transfer power to the back of the manifold, so the intake/tb (back of the blower) is mounted at the front like the stock setup

yea, but like I said when you started this project a while back, if you're building it from nothing then build it however it works best for you.
the Lingenfelter stetup woudn't work here anyway, it's setup for LS1 engines and won't fit under the hood anyway.

Nice! My best friend works for the CMPD now, and he's coming up to visit this weekend (early celebration for my 21st bday) and I'll be going to visit him probably mid-late june. It'd be really sweet to see this thing, many props to you! BTW - what about just ditching the a/c?
the cover of this month's issue of Super Rod has a blower setup just like what you are doing on what appears to be an LS1. They ran the blower the other way though... throttle body in the front and a jack shaft type of setup so the blower pulley is in back, but can still be driven by the serpentine belt. Looked pretty trick
