Well I bought a rebuilt eaton M112 last night

It should be here next friday. Orignal plans where for a M90. The m112 is going to be quite enough for my car.

I paid $515 shipped for the M112 1 year warrenty, rebuilt, free shippping and no core.

Total project is going to be under 1 K easy

Does the 112 mean it is a 112ci compressor? what is the cfm rating? You're confident it won't become a restriction more than an enhancement?

Hey my first post in Advanced Tech

I was thinking myself that would be alot easier and would make more sense. I mean, GM makes the single plane intake manifold.. add a custom EFI setup, a hood for clearance, and the blower... it'll be costly either way I think

Would be neat if someone would come up with a roots type deal for our cars like the LS1's.. but I think I'd rather go for a centrifugal personally

The 112 stands for 112cid per revolution, realize this thing has better than a 2:1 drive over crank RPM and you get 12,000 x 112 cid at 6,000 rpm

Its going to be quite enough, they use the same blower on lightning and 03 cobras and you see where thats gone!

Magnuson works there magic on a M90 and sells to the corvette boys, you can see one at www.lingenfelter.com

Where on earth did you get a rebuilt unit without a core charge for that price, I know magnusom sells them for 1000-1200 bucks. I am very interested in how this is coming along, I've been wanting to do this ever since I got my car, I've posted a few threads, but got very negaative responses, that it will be to much work, and cost. I personally don't want a centrifugal charger, since I drive on the street daily, you can't beat full boost all the time, turns your car into a real big block torque monster. I wanted to get a carb intake and weld in the fuel injectors, any reason why you didn't go this route. Also from what I've read you don't think the pully system will be hard to mount, do you know have it all figured out, cause that seems to be a big problem. I gotta say this has really made my day, gives me hope I can also have one of these beautiful chargers. By the way I called up Magnusum and they said the M-90 is made for up to 350 cubic inches, but the M112 would be better. How much you selling your M-90 for?

The LT1 intake looks like its going to work good, I don't have to block off any dist hole, and the opening is just right for the bypass valve and blower out put.

I got the blower of ebay from canadian superchargers. I'll admit i got it for about 300 less than what I usually see them go for.

I'm selling the M90 right now, its on ebay right now. my user name is Rooster433 and the bids are only up to $225.

will you have enough room at the back of the intake for air input? I assume you'll use some kind of U bend pipe like the SS, but will that clear the firewall?

Oh wait, you said seomthing like a modified carb hat, didn't you...

Hey Rooster if you want me to machine the intake flat for you i will do it. You programmed my car about 8 months ago.

If you want to send me a new chip for a bit of changes i have this year i will do it for you.

Did you pickup a piece to seal the top with yet. I could just complete the whole thing for you if need be. How thick of a piece do you plan to put back in place on top.

Also how much pressure is going to be in the intake with the addition of the blower. Just wondering if there is a warrent need for the o-ring seal to be added in.

Let me know.

Thanks for the reply, I hope to see some pictures it will really show everyone how it works and how your ideas are coming along. Are you going to make any kind of guide for us other guys willing to start this kind of project. It would sure be nice to do it right the first time, any listing of parts etc. would really help out. Sounds like your having a pretty easy time putting it together, I can't believe no one has ever put a kit together. People say theres no room, but from what I've measured, there's plenty. Are you going to buy some type of pully kit from a manufacturer or just throw some parts together? How much boost you think she'll make?

Just got the eaton m112 today, its quite a bit wider which could pose a problem with my injector postitioning.

It looks good though!
