goodluck getting a m112 to fit like that,

I'm using a lightning blower (M112)

I had a M90 that I had fitted like that, BTW the EBay auction ended at $255 and the guy still haven't paid for it. Does anyone need it?\

As far as the MAP sensor, you can mount those remotely.... take a look at any TBI truck car or even the TPI stuff... Most GM's have remote MAPS

if your using a lightning blower, isn't there going to be hood clearance problems, cause the intake hole is on top of the charger, how are you working around this problem.

Curiosity is killing the cat here! I jump on here every 2 hours whether I have mail or not to see if there's any progress. I'm just waiting on "the next big, cheap thing" if it works.
Take one for the team. Stop doing silly stuff like working, going to school, eating or sleeping untill you finish! And my god, someone that lives near this guy please click off some pics for us curious by-standers.

Well im not going to pursue this anymore. I did a lot of research the last few days and yes it does seem like good way to go about it but i could not get the dimensions to work they way i wanted to mount it. Sure i could do it if i wanted to but i only can drive my car for 3 months out of the year and i dont wnat to spend those 3 months trying to get this to work. Granted it may sound simple and be simple to some but i have decided against it.

If anyone wants a killer deal on a 03 cobra blower (m112) i know where to find one.

its funny you got one of those whipple pics, not sure who did the picture, but they could have moved in a little more on the engine. As for the whipple company themselves, They make me mad, before buying my car they said they were ready to introduce a kit for the LT1, just finishing up on it, then all at once they dropped it. They even had a part number for the kit. I was told by them that the kit wouldn't work cause they couldn't put enough boost into the engine before they broke something, I guess it had to much pressure down low. The most they could muster was 4.5 pounds, and that wasn't enough power to justify their heavy price, so they canned it. I even asked them for help, pictures or diagrams, or part numbers they used, but they said I was on my own and there would be no help from them. I believe their charger is good, but pricy compared to eaton. How do the mustangs that are fitted with these type chargers perform, like the Keeny Bell ones? I can't find much on the internet, seems there not as popular as centrifugals. I called Kenny for parts, but he was no help, although he did say whatever I do, Don't get a centrifugual charger because I would be very disappointed with how they work, like boost dropoff between gears, he said they are only good for oval track racing where you stay at a peak rpm all the time. I really hope you guys can make this thing work, cause the low end torque would be unreal. Are you guys planning on more than 5 psi of boost.

I just got all caught up in this thread. I'm extremely curious to see how this turns out. If you can make it work, it will be a huge savings for power adders, especially for those of us that have friends with machine shops

pictures

Here are some pictures.

I took them with a webcam (sarcastic) and i don't know the angle must have been off because to me the cut looks off.

In real life I assure you that the cut is perfect with in .005 not really important anyways cause its being TIG welded together

Still waiting for my injector bosses to show up

nice. was there any other reason besides hood clearance why you didn't raise the eaton up a bit to use the stock fuel rail locations?

I'm gonna continue to follow this thread because it's a great idea. One of these days, I might toss a little $$ at an extra intake and an M90 with a rear inlet and try to build a similar one with a slightly raised platform to retain the stock fuel rail locations.

I think it would be cool to have the rear inlet and a U-shaped tube so I could mount the stock throttle body slightly to the driver's side of where it would normally sit (mounted on the plate that the eaton sits on). This would make for easy throttle linkage and CAI routing.

because, if i where to retain stock fuel rail location the total height would be well over 12 inches instead of only 9.5 thats a big difference,

I am going to run a throttle body like yo umentioned. Intake ducting isn't so hard for me, i'm speed density
