Hooking up LTCC need opti help

I have been playing with this thing for a few hours and finally got it to register a code. I got 3 blinks. according to the manual it says wrong number of hi-res pulses counted during a high lo-res pulse or low lo-res pulse. With these conditions does this mean the optical portion of the optispark took a sh$t?
The car has been in storage all winter, started before storage, and I cant get the car started with or without the LTCC box bob supplied.
Right now im thinking its the opti thats giving me problems but I would like to get your input before throwing a new one in.

Thanks

I suggest getting the vehicle to run with oem setup first. This means getting the/any opti related problems resolved first. Do as much diagnostic work as possible to make sure the new opti investment is necessary, which based on what info you have presented, appears to be the leading potential culprit.

Yep could be the opti, but I'm willing to bet its just the contacts where the opti harness goes in got rusty, if you clean them & put dialectric grease on there it will never get rusty again cuz with the LTCC you eliminate the high voltage part in the opti, when a high voltage spark jumps it creates a highly corrosive atmosphere, thats what the venting is for, but it doesn't work perfectly, so once cleaned its gonna be good with LTCC unless its destroyed inside which is doubtfull, so take off the harness & look at it, see if you see any green, thats rust, clean it off with file/anti corrosive spray etc.. & make the contacts tighter by prying on the harness's 4 pins, & put it back in, take it off & check again, maybe spray some corrosion remover into the opti harness section, but if you do let it sit a few hours like 3 hours, then put a vacume to it, then put the harness back in again, make sure the harness pins are tight with a screw driver.

Most of the time its always that area when your high/low res fails.

When I intially installed my LTCC box on my 93 according to Bobs instructions the car would not start. I talked to Bob concerning this issue and the instructions he gave me with my kit were for a 96 car. He gave me the proper instructions for a 93 and my car started right up. You may want to contact Bob to make sure that you have the correct instructions with your kit.

Yep, same conditions, directions were for a 96' car. Grabbed the white wire from the ignition mod and it fired right up
