Engine Swap

I am planning a engine swap in my 94 camaro. I want to swap out the original LT1 with a 468 BBC. And i don't know where to start. I was hoping someone here has swap a big block into a 4th gen or if someone knows a good site or person to contact. Any information would be great thanks

BMR now makes a tubular k-member for this swap. I'd start with them.

Thanks guys keep the info coming. the motor is professionally built coming out of a 4500 lb car running 10's on a stock gm manifold and stock ported heads, leaving so much more potentional and more cubes.
Gonna toss the carb and go with an accell genVII DFI

Damn man, sounds like it will be pretty awesome, definitely talk to BMR, their new kmember looks nice, my buddys about to order one for a gen1 smallblock swap.

Looks in your sig like you love your camaros man!

and start making friends at fab shops, cuz you will want a nice set of custom headers, and they aint cheap!

if you use a tubular k-member I think a set of 3rd gen big block headers would work. we used chevelle headers and they worked with minimal modifications.

the BMR big block k-member has poly mounts and is probably nice for a mild setup, but if you're making huge torque you should look to run a motor plate, or I've got a jig for motor mounts that work for a LT1 k-member.

good luck, it's fun.

the big block is out of my car now, getting ready for it's new home (to be revealed soon enough)..
