Put a mono-blade on the top location and block off the lower one. You won't be airflow limited. It would be way simpler, wouldn't look as rigged, and make the same power.

Mike,
I have a second intake I'm doing exactly what you describe. I'll be doing back to back testing to determine what works best.

I believe Mindgame is/was running a custom sheetmetal intake w/ two TBs. I haven't seen it, but I'd bet its like the Dodge Viper design. He's not an LTx motor anymore though.

After numerous set backs including my welder moving out of state this
project is finally getting of the ground. The intake is finished and the
stock 1.94 intake valves replaced with 2". The car has been in the high
9s but more power has been hard to find lately, were hoping this will
show some big improvements. Results in a couple of weeks?

The throttle bodies are production LT1 units. The intake design is
a dual plane allowing the top throttle body flow to route over the
front four cylinders to eliminate the uneven air distribution to the
cylinders.

The car is a 2800 lb 64' Corvette. It's not mine, I do the heads for the
owner and I built the intake. I see it run every weekend, low 10's in
the heat, 9.90s in good air.

That would make them 48mm. Four 48mm bores have only 2% more area than a 95mm single blade, and more wetted perimeter. Did you consider just putting a large 95mm circular monoblade on there? Or, Kinsler makes twin-bore units up to 71mm. That would be about 10% more area than 4-48's.

We tried a big (I don't know the size) mono blade on the ported
LT1 intake he has been running with no improvement. Our thinking
is we have met the limitations of the 1.94" valve size and the
intake manifold design. I raised the roof of the head and intake
port 0.125" and saw very little improvement in ET or MPH.

The plugs show a big difference in color from front to back, we
considered limiting fuel to the rear injectors but decided to try
to add air to the rear of the intake instead.

Our thinking may be flawed, correct me if you see things differently.
The objectives were to increase plenum size, improve air distribution
and increase intake plenum pressure. All of this should be accomplished
but that does not necessarily mean improved performance.

I love the ingenuity. The results should be interesting and good luck.

I'm in the process of modifying my TPI one more time. Also going with the AS&M monoblade this time around. No air restictions allowed.

By the way the monoblades flow around 1300 cfm which is similiar to the 95mm single blades.

Thanks, I'll let you know how it works out. Well we could
go with two monoblades now!

I suggested a Victor Jr. intake to the owner and he wouldn’t hear of it,
he wanted me to stick with the LT1 intake look as much as possible.
