cam timing questions

is there any effect on the computer when you advance the cam? are there ways to change ignition and injector timing to offset the differance. the reason is that i am building a 383 with the trickflow LT1 heads, and the cam of choice is my stock cam that has been reground to 242/242 @.050 .538/.538 lift with 114 LSA. i would like to put it in at 106 degrees but don't want any tuning nightmares.

When you advance the cam you also advance the ignition timing by the same amount. So, you need to reprogram the PCM to account for this by retarding the timing by the same amount. It also changes the injector timing, but I doubt a few degrees will matter.
