290? That was so 2002 Bret.

I'm trying to keep track of the cool projects I see. I'll post a link to the albums later today.

Hey Bret,
Thanks for taking the time out to snap those shots.

The 18X looks good... quite different from a 15/18º head but man... those just need a little work to be real good. A little guide contouring, seat blending and you're ready to rock.

Cool thing about this is.... I have some 15º pics that were taken (intake/exhaust/chmbr) and they're almost identical to the plane you shot yours on.
If 97WS6 wants to put em' in his webshots portfolio I'd be more than happy to send.

I have no problem hosting more pics. Just do me a favor and send them as a zip file. It took me forever to open Bret's 12 mb worth of pics.

Figured I'd save you guys some grief by just posting them on my (almost forgotten) webshots account. Wanted to make a composite for side by side comparisons... so this worked out real well.

Very interesting. Enjoy...

Re: Brodix 18x CNC Heads... ??

In the 18* and 18X you can see the depth of the bowl difference and the larger cross section in the 18*..... Those 18X heads would make a hell of a Hyd Roller motor for a street car.

The 15* stuff is very similar.... I'm guessing those 15* pics are the famous LT1 versions MG is running. The chamber is smaller for sure but for the most part those 18X heads could get there.... hell you could even roll them like a 15* head (well at least 2* if you don't move the guides)

Thanks MG,

Bret

Thanks MG,

Bret

I think I know, .... but just to make sure , you are talking about angle milling them 2 degrees right. At least that's what I know the term roll to mean. Am I on the same page LOL.

And if so, approximately how much do you think it would increase flow on this 18x head and in what lift range? I'm looking at this head , and having dreams of a nice daily driven 500rwhp lt1 conversion.

Do you think these heads could make 500 rwhp with the right intake on a 383 with the right intake in a Daily driven (230 ish duration hydraulic roller) type setup, with good low end tourque and not having to rev toooo high?
