AFR 210's and oil return holes in the heads?

I put together my longblock this weekend. Encountered a number of problems I just did not account for...

With my AFR 210 heads, unlike my AFR 220 heads I had previously, the oil return holes at the end of the heads just installed would not have worked. First, the head gasket was in the way. This was not a real problem, just snipped the area that needed removed, which worked fine on the passenger side and the rear of the drivers side.

The problem I had was the oil return hole on the front of the drivers side ran smack into block. I had to grind a nice little channel in the block or else it would have not drained well at all in that area.

Anyone else seen this. Is this an LT4 block issue only?

I got the head gaskets that AFR recommended...which then brings up the something else...the coolant holes in relation to the top of the block...anyone else feel uneasy about the lack of gasket material there?

Thanks for reading.

The oil return is normal and needs to be checked with any after market head. The water thing should not be a problem all ya need is a 1/32" of sealing. It isn't high pressure like combustion just 20-22lbs.If that's what you are talking about.
