Well it's been over a year since this thread passed.... so i'll bring it back to life to see if any new things have come about. SO....

Any news on the 4L80 swap? Any new projects? Products?

We sell very few 80Es at our yard..I think we have 4 on the shelf now..Compared to stock for stock i can say its way better than the 60 or the 65 junk..
tell your core guy to come on down to atlanta ga..Like said before its a great trans but keep in mind its basically a TH400 with an overdrive in it.Thus it will need mods to work in high hp cars to last...Ive put a few in some G bodys with big blocks and have had great results..

As for the JW, a JW glide will cost you 2500 for a decent unit..The fastest car ive installed an 80E into was a 8 sec 496 1st gen F body..The trans cost 2900 and he hasnt had a problem in 100 passes..The only downside is he lost 5 MPH probally due to the weight..
