tell your core guy to come on down to atlanta ga..Like said before its a great trans but keep in mind its basically a TH400 with an overdrive in it.Thus it will need mods to work in high hp cars to last...Ive put a few in some G bodys with big blocks and have had great results..
As for the JW, a JW glide will cost you 2500 for a decent unit..The fastest car ive installed an 80E into was a 8 sec 496 1st gen F body..The trans cost 2900 and he hasnt had a problem in 100 passes..The only downside is he lost 5 MPH probally due to the weight..
