The TTA's were near LS1 fast.

 

you guys are confusing the 301 turbo trans am, which sucked, with the 3.8 turbo trans am, which was grand national fast.

 

There's two different TTA's

 

Yeah. Like I said, there was an earlier (1981) turbo trans am with a 301 litre engine with a dinky turbo slapped to it. Ungodly slow just like every other "performance" car of the time.

The 1989 Indy 500 Pace Car TTA on the otherhand was a beautiful creation. So easy to make fast. Should've made it an option. Or even better a turbo v8.
