hello all, i just got back from looking at a Z28 Turbo Injected. I think its stock, and im not sure on the exact year. it was forsale and i just looked at it and stuff, didnt drive it or sit in it, i gotta call the owner and stuff. I know its a manual tranny. Anyone here know anything about this model and any flaws? and any pros?. thanks

he probably means a 305 TPI, but assumed the T (or was told) that it ment turbo or something.

are you sure it wasn't TUNED PORT INJECTION?

It's a fuel-injection system

if you really saw turbo.. then damn.. i don't know. probably somebody being fancy.. make sure it really has a turbo i guess

It could be Tuned i might of over saw somthing in the heat of excitement lol.

 

No such thing as a turbo camaro, at least not stock, maybe an aftermarket sticker? But also a MANUAL in a 3rd gen. z28, if its a true z28 and the transmission is the original, thats a rare car indeed.

 

It was TUNED PORT INJECTION, i.e. TPI. There were no Camaros that came stock with a turbo.

multiport injected
crossfire?

 

GN or turbo GTA engine installed in a Z28??

either way it's not original

go get some specifics...

and call on the guy if he tries to tell you that it was an original turbo car.

 

for some reason onl the firebird get the turbos, but thats ok, i like my camaros naturally aspirated

81 trans am 455 turbo, or 6.6 turbo i dun remember

and like an 89 trans am pace car with the buick 3.8 turbo

 

why is that, they have plenty of 305 5 speed z28's and iroc's

its prolly a little 5.0 litre with a 5 speed

 

Are you thinking of the earlier TTA? The 301 (4.9 litre) turbo? Now that was a dog...
