Question what kinda trans should i go with?

Wonderin if anyone has any recomendations for me about a transmission to go with for my 84 Z28. I just put a new motor in it. It's a built 283 with around 285 hp. Also not sure what kinda torque converter to go with either. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks

definately go with the th350, it will bolt right up, and work well with very little additional linkage. as for stall, 2300-2500 is about right for that much power, but go a little higher if you have a very radical cam.

I'm getting a Mad Dog 700R. Click on the link. I'm getting a stage 2 with a conv. W/2700 stall for $1350. TCI wanted $1350 just for the trans. You do not need a computer for the 700R.
