MSD HEI. factory plug and play with an adjustable advance curve. Best of both worlds. Costs about the same as their billet distributor and the box to run it. By far the way to go unless you need an adjustable rev limiter and timing retard features.

Truly stock engine with computer controlled carb and distributor? You have no choice- stock computer controlled distributor is your oly choice unless you plan on taking everything non-computer controlled (including the carb).
