Im trouble shooting an overheating problem and have a few questions. Im concerned that my water pump I have was packaged incorrectly ans is reverse flow. How can I check to see if this is the case???

Pop the back impeller plate off, see which way the impeller was designed to turn and see if your pulleys are spinning it that direction.

Crank the car, let it warm up a bit, and look down into the radiator. If you can see coolant circulating, it's the correct pump.
