Tuning help, track times fell off..
Ok well as said above i went to the track over the weekend and my times fell off, y? i have no clue.. all stock my car ran a 15.08 @ 92.5mph.. i've done all the mods in my sig this past winter and went to the track, the car ran a best of a 14.04 @ 97mph, consistant 14.1-14.3 depending on my fuel pressure and on my 60ft. time (2.01 is the best, averages about 2.02).. So anyways this past week i put on an MSD 6AL ignition box & Drag Radials and my car ran a best of a 14.65 @ 92mph!!!! what gives, faster ET than stock but the same MPH? yes weather condidtions are off a bit but that doesn't explain the lost 5 mph!! i'm not a happy camper, my cousin said the car launches awesome but then it just seems to fall on it face after that.. my Fuel pressure is set at 44psi, i started out at 46psi according to the dyno test results in the TPiS insider hints book, and as i brought the FP down it got quicker and i busted off the fastest ET, so i left it there, now like i said this weekend i haven't touched it and the cars runnin' slow again?? any help or suggestions??

This isn't an Advanced Question and should be posted in 3rd Gen Tech.

This is why i put this into Advanced Tech becuse nobody in 3rd gen Tech has a clue.. Forget it i'll figure it out myself, this web site is never any help to me, its all about i'm faster than u or i'm faster than him, when it comes down to real Q's they can't be answered.. Thanx but no thanx
Lower your fuel pressure. Try 40psi with the vaccum line off. Also, be sure to run at a minimum 94 octane gas to fight off detonation. The leaner you run it, the more power you'll make, but you have to watch detonation because it'll slow you down and can blow headgaskets and pistons. Those drag radials may have more rolling friction as well and that will slow you down, but generally the superior traction will more then make up for it. Depends on the width of the stock tires, my car is actually faster with 26x8.5"'s instead of 26x10"'s. Track prep and ambient temp and wind direction/velocity can all have a large role in cutting the perfect times. What were the differenes in the 60' times? This can be a big indicator as well.

Is it possible the Fuel pump is not keeping up, also the knock sensor could be sensing knock (like said) because youre running out of fuel. How much air are you running in your stickies? 2.01 60 ft is not really good for stickies. Whats your base timing set at? try 8 base (brown wire disconnected) with good fuel and all you should be ok , unless a sack blew over into your intake...lol
Also are you putting your foot al the way to the floor on the gas? Your floor mat may have gotten wadded up under it, I always remove my drivers side floor mat at the track just for this reason.

geez man ur making it sound like i should be running mid 13's or something.. i wish.. in the sticky's i'm running 30psi.. and again remember i only have a 305, i dont have a 350 in there..
Dont dog the 305. they were just handicapped from the factory, youve made most of the mods to make them screamers. Try dropping the drag radials a little and really press the sucker off the line, If you drop a 1.9 or 1.8 youre in the 13s.
