torque converter question

i need a 2500 stall torque converter but im having a problem on which kind of converter i need. theres the non locking type or the locking type. this is going on a motor that should be around 400 hp and a 700R4 tranny and that will be mostly used for street driving.
thank you

I am a little confussed as to your question but if you drive the car at all on the highway i would get a lock up torque converter so that you can cruise at a comfortable RPM. Just my 2 cents.
