Swapping in a new differential

Who makes a direct swap in part for the series 2 (smaller carrier) for a 1990 GTA? I have the 2.73 set up. I plan on swapping in s set of 3.42's but I want to replace the differential as well.

You sure about the 2 series carrier? Because you have to be about the 3.42 gears. What carrier do they fit on? I can get 3.73 gears to fit on your old 2 series carrier or a 3 series carrier. If you are sure about the 3.42s going on a 2 series carrier, might I suggest an Auburn Gears posi?

Kit from thunder racing

Yes i'm sure, they sell a kit at Thunder Racing with 3.42 gears for the series 2 and 3 carrier. How much do the Auburn posi's usually cost? Check out the website www.thunderracing.com Let me know what you think.

If you want 3.42 gears, why screw around with a 2-series carrier? Get the 3 series carrier and let it sit there until you can afford the 3.42s.
