Most 305s poop-out at around 4500 rpm. With the LT1 cam you might hit 5000 rpm before it sags. Be sure to use new valve springs.

thanks, also the lt1 cam isn't going to work b/c my car is not a roller cam motor. I did find a comp cam. that has 112/112 duration and .444/.444 lift so that's about the same.

4200 stall... when you have the blown 350 u said its a drag car right. 2500 for the 305. I can't remember but I think converters like B&M/TCI are rated with 230 ft lbs of torque at 2000rpm or something like that, more torque means it'll stall higher, less torque and it'll stall lower - read B&M's site, it says it on there somewhere.
